I wonder if it wasn't simply that he loved it here and he gave up the game-winning homer in Game 7 so he wants to come back and try again. #Bluejays
What do you think the rationale was?
Maybe he feels like he didn’t pitch well enough to get a *huge* payday, so he’s going to try to rebuild value?
But you have to think he could have gotten at least 4 x 20 or something like that

I am beyond floored that Shane Bieber has exercised his option and stayed with #Bluejays. Not because I didn't think he liked it here, he absolutely did. But because he's only going to earn $12 million (US) in 2026 when he could have had 10 times that or more on the open market. Wow.
