HAZEL IS BACK HOME!!! A construction worker at a site just around the corner from us managed to get ahold of her and made a makeshift leash with some rope. She's gotten water, food and is currently decompressing in her crate. Seems mostly okay physically, maybe a couple of scrapes--vet later.

That Ortiz and Clase reportedly received the EXACT same dollar amount from fixers — in 2025! — as Shoeless Joe Jackson and Lefty Williams did in 1919 is … completely absurd. And another reason why player salaries have very little to do with why these gambling scandals happen.

My coworker’s dog was diagnosed with bone cancer at just 3 years old. She’s otherwise healthy and the prognosis with treatment is quite good, but costs are high. On top of that, their other dog also needed emergency surgery this week.

My friends Diya and Taylor found this sweet girl in Echo Park yesterday who is seemingly part kangaroo they’re calling Hank and she didn’t have a chip or a collar and they are home fostering since the shelters are extremely crowded, so if you know Hank or you want to adopt Hank, DM me

1. Kind of wild knowing I just provided a lot of people with this exact experience; and 2. this tendency of mine is about to get so much worse now that I've been on the other side of it and know firsthand exactly what these people are going through.
I have a very bad habit of getting emotionally invested in stories I read on the internet about people searching for lost dogs even though I don't know anyone involved. The only upside is that the payoff when things work out is tremendous! So relieved this one had a happy ending 🥲

Hazel has been missing for two nights now, with no reported sightings since yesterday morning. We (the fosters) have been advised by an experienced dog tracker not to search for her ourselves so as to not confuse her by spreading our scents too far from home.

Not much new here. A couple of reported sightings, most recently this morning around 7:30, mere blocks from our house. So we're optimistic she's staying local/trying to find her way back (and given how skittish she is, there's a good chance she's hiding and that's why more people haven't seen her).
Los Angeles/westside folks: Our foster dog, Hazel, got out tonight around 8:08 p.m., and we have not been able to locate her. Please keep an eye out--and if you see her, DO NOT CHASE. She is very timid and will not come to someone she doesn't know. PLEASE CALL/TEXT THE NUMBERS ON THE FLYER.
