Hey you, with the pretty face -- welcome to the human race.

Reporter/editor, MLB.com. I like dogs. I’ve rewatched Frasier in its entirety way too many times. She/her
Seems Yamamoto got Carlos from Best Friends (bestfriends.org/los-angeles)! h/t Reddit for the second screenshot (the original post was deleted).

Look, if you're going to win a major sports award, it should be a requirement to have your dog with you on TV for the announcement. I don't make the ru...well, I guess I did make up this rule, but I think it's a good rule.

Hazel is still taking it easy and decompressing, spending basically all of her time in her crate (by her own choice). But she seems relaxed and in overall good spirits. (For now she's remaining leashed at all times, and we got her Fi tracker collar set back up and on her again.)

It has been a whirlwind few days, now ending with “comedian I’m a big fan of liking an IG post of me having an emotional reunion with my previously lost foster dog.”

Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who shared the posts about her and to those who went out looking, flyering, etc. I have been so moved by how much support people gave us in our time of need.

Most recent known location: Manchester/Belford. If you’re in/near Westchester, CA or know anyone who is: Best way to help is driving around looking for her/reporting sightings to us (with time/location/direction she was headed). She’s probably hiding, but all it takes is 1 person laying eyes on her.

Hazel has been missing for two nights now, with no reported sightings since yesterday morning. We (the fosters) have been advised by an experienced dog tracker not to search for her ourselves so as to not confuse her by spreading our scents too far from home.

Los Angeles/westside folks: Our foster dog, Hazel, got out tonight around 8:08 p.m., and we have not been able to locate her. Please keep an eye out--and if you see her, DO NOT CHASE. She is very timid and will not come to someone she doesn't know. PLEASE CALL/TEXT THE NUMBERS ON THE FLYER.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto got the save in World Series Game 7 with 2 2/3 scoreless innings on zero days of rest and Nellie wants to act like SHE’S exhausted 🙄

Nellie doesn’t love what’s happening either and is trying to keep me from using my work laptop about it.

I am learning that my foster dog Hazel might not be cut out to go to a forever home where they care about sports.

The NLCS MVP is celebrating appropriately: by posting Instagram stories of his dog.

Yes, the characters are interesting and the story is solid!

I have absolutely no idea why Shohei Ohtani and Aaron Judge are there, and the plot description doesn’t provide much insight. Sounds like a banger of a Hallmark movie waiting to happen though.

I get a lot of extremely random PR pitches sent to my work email. Today I received one with the subject line “New Book Blends Baseball with Themes of Family, Faith, and Life's Miracles.”

Nothing could have prepared me for the cover art.
