HAZEL IS BACK HOME!!! A construction worker at a site just around the corner from us managed to get ahold of her and made a makeshift leash with some rope. She's gotten water, food and is currently decompressing in her crate. Seems mostly okay physically, maybe a couple of scrapes--vet later.
Hazel’s expanded her zone a bit, having been seen yesterday afternoon at Century and Aviation. Once again asking this be shared with folks in L.A., especially in Westchester, Inglewood and surrounding neighborhoods. Shareable Instagram post: www.instagram.com/reel/DQpBhSu...
There are so many people that I am so resentful of having to be aware of, which I think is modern life in a nutshell.

Even though this kind of makes it seem like Yamamoto just adopted Carlos, he actually got him in August 2024--and, as it turns out, Carlos fended off burglars at Yamamoto's house this past July. A tremendously good boy. www.nbclosangeles.com/news/sports/...

People talk a lot about Phil Collins and the Tarzan soundtrack, but I don't think we talk enough about how the thing in the entire Disney oeuvre that goes the very hardest ("I'll Make a Man Out of You") was written by the "Break My Stride" guy and performed by Donny Osmond.

This vote has not happened yet. Call your Senators, especially your Democratic Senators, and tell them that a deal without protection NOW for health insurance tax credits is unacceptable.

That Ortiz and Clase reportedly received the EXACT same dollar amount from fixers — in 2025! — as Shoeless Joe Jackson and Lefty Williams did in 1919 is … completely absurd. And another reason why player salaries have very little to do with why these gambling scandals happen.

My coworker’s dog was diagnosed with bone cancer at just 3 years old. She’s otherwise healthy and the prognosis with treatment is quite good, but costs are high. On top of that, their other dog also needed emergency surgery this week.

I didn't anticipate how gratifying it would be to go around taking down all the lost dog posters we put up. People are so excited to find out that we got her back 🥲

1. Kind of wild knowing I just provided a lot of people with this exact experience; and 2. this tendency of mine is about to get so much worse now that I've been on the other side of it and know firsthand exactly what these people are going through.
I have a very bad habit of getting emotionally invested in stories I read on the internet about people searching for lost dogs even though I don't know anyone involved. The only upside is that the payoff when things work out is tremendous! So relieved this one had a happy ending 🥲
