Holiday gathering reminder 🎁

If your guests test w/rapids twice before the event, 48 hours apart, it’ll catch 63% of Covid cases even if they have no symptoms. Testing 3x improves that to 79%!

This is how we curb the annual January surge that gave me Long Covid—thanks for protecting yr community 🤍

But you see, he’s very floofy.

This is an insane thing to do but I'm getting desperate:
My husband is an extremely skilled tier 3 tech support worker with a bachelor's of economics, familiarity with a wide variety of technical systems, and a long employment history in aerospace.
He's been out of work for seven months now.

Today's #ArtAdventCalendar is my Pyrrhuloxia watercolor, from my experimentation with different watercolor papers. With this piece, I found out that painting of the "wrong" side of cold press paper works better for me!

These guys are great! I donate every year and may I suggest that some of the crafts they sell on behalf of the elders make great Christmas presents?
Time once again to rep my favorite place for giving: anelder.org - they supply food, firewood and supplies for traditional crafting to Navajo Elders. If you have the cash, please give these folks a hand.

Hey, thank you for sharing this and all the stories - it means a lot to me right now because my husband lost his job a few months ago and money is *tight*.
So many people are enjoying this that I think I should drop @cryptidchicken.bsky.social’s tip jar and also let everyone know they have SO MANY MORE stories and they are all just as good!!

It's time for everyone's favorite chronologically unanchored holiday, The Story of the Lizard in the Leg.
Because people keep asking, the Story of The Lizard In That Dude's Leg. Some caveats:

1. This happened more than twenty years ago. There are no pictures. There was a small article in a local paper with, again, no pictures (I'm assuming that's what the producers of 9-1-1: LONE STAR found).

Posted this before, but in my not so humble opinion you can never have too much Mongolian heavy metal throat singing.... The Hu, Wolf Totem. Side note they also do cooking videos "Hu's In The Kitchen".

I strongly recommend everyone do research sometimes 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘧𝘶𝘯.

Look something up on Wikipedia. Go to the little citation. Follow it. Read the article it's referencing. Follow links to the original interview. Read the paper written by the interviewee

It genuinely makes you appreciate journalism

I'm proud to announce my latest pin design!

These are for everyone with split pronouns who gets tired of people only referring to them one way. My lenticular pin shows different pronouns at different angles!

Please share with anyone who might like one 💖 canopyrobin.etsy.com/listing/4396... #SciArt

Throw back to this giant wolverine plushie I made back in April. I will try to get another one of these made soon, but I want to tweak the pattern a bit more.
He weighed almost 20 pounds & had beanies in his paws for extra weight.

The sculptural reconstructions of The Kennis Twins.
The first showin ehre is my favorite, FAVORITE reconstruction of Lucy, ever. The second is Tollund Man, the famous bog body. The third is Shanidar Z, a semi-recent Neanderthal find. Fourth is Homo floresiensis (a "hobbit.")
