Unlike you, I can read and that’s why I know what the constitution says.
Trump on Ilhan Omar: "I look at somebody who comes from Somalia...and she comes in and tells us how to run our country. 'The Constitution says this, the Constitution says that.' The whole thing is crazy."

I loved reading Star Wars Insider when I was a kid. Not sure when I started, but it was definitely before the special editions of the the original trilogy in 1997, and I read it all through the prequels, devouring every detail of prerelease content before the films came out.

RIP.
Oh no.
After more than 200 issues and 30+ years, Star Wars Insider will end its current run in 2026. 🫡

Star Wars Insider issue #237 will be the magazine’s last with Titan. “As we fly off into the twin sunsets, Titan intends to go out in a blaze of glory,” editor Christopher Cooper adds.

sort of incredible to read a review that doesn't just made a vague nod at AI being bad, but actively reckons with the ways in which falling obsessively to AI usage actively obliterates the artistic intent and integrity of the work you've made.

Truly wild that less than a week after a nationwide decisive victory Senate Democrats cave in return for getting absolutely nothing in return.

"How could Dems cave like this after last Tuesday's victory?" But it wasn't a victory for Schumer. His candidate -- the Trump-supported one -- lost. The jubilation and hope folks feel about Mamdani? Chuck feels the opposite. To sum up: he sucks.

Oh man! This game launched a whole genre of games. Pbta is exactly the sort of system that I would love to run. Sadly also never got a chance to play any pbta systems (other than Ironsworn... does that count?) but I hope one day I can run Apocalypse World. And if I do, I'll have the 3rd edition!

So exciting! I have got all the Free League The One Ring 2e books. I have to run a single session with them, but I love them and they are so cool, I can't help myself.

And maybe some day I can wrangle people together to run an adventure in Middle Earth.

the editorial board said before the primary that Mamdani "seems to lack [...] political savvy and [an] instinct for compromise," a take that has aged like milk because he proved them dead wrong by exhibiting precisely those qualities between then and the general election, as chronicled in this piece
This NYT story about how Mamdani dealt with the opposition by the city's elites fails to mention one particular elite institution: The NYT editorial page, which last June railed against him as "uniquely unsuited to the city’s challenges... lacks political savvy"
