It's remarkable how consistently older media folks seem to think "wildly differing moral standards" shouldn't be a barrier to relationships.

Yes they completely fabricated Garland and OKC. They recited the myth repeatedly in multiple publications, to the point I could tell you what was in a Garland article before I read it, down to quotes, sources and phrasing. It's the same skill set I used decoding articles in criminal regimes abroad.
