So I was just thinking...

Does the amount of crockpots I've been gifted mean anything?

Like is this some special club? Or is there an event that I haven't been told I should be preparing for?

I dream of a roving band of queer punks armed with sidewalk chalk and washable paint markers, rainbowing every *other* crosswalk while these jerks guard one specific one
A Florida Department of Transportation crew early Sunday painted the Pulse crosswalk back to black and white for a second time as supporters continued to try to restore the rainbow-colored crossing. Now, police agencies are monitoring the site.

I don't think most people forget.

They simply decide it's their turn to be the oppressor.

Or this is the way it's always been so this is the way I must conduct myself.
one of the things that has struck me consistently throughout my entire adult life is how quickly people seem to completely forget what it was like to be a child. the way they felt, the things they wanted and needed. i don't understand because i have never forgotten that

I'm watching Desperate Housewives again and Tom Scavo really is one of the worst TV husband's I have ever seen.

Worst of husbands, worst of men.

When the Japanese American National Museum is saying this take it seriously.
We know too well the devastating consequences of such action—families torn apart, livelihoods destroyed, and multigenerational trauma inflicted on a community for decades.

Hours after ICE became the highest federal law enforcement agency in America history (and likely in world history), the Supreme Court lifts the last obstacle to ICE deporting people to any random country around the world, even in conflict zones or where migrants are enslaved.
Over dissents from Justices Sotomayor & Jackson (and a rare concurrence from Justice Kagan), #SCOTUS "clarifies" that its 6/23 ruling staying a district court's injunction against third-country removals *also* applies to the district court's later order requiring a remedy for those already removed:

some people are gonna need a few days in the fetal position and some people do best when immediately given a task and some people need to immerse themselves in joy and comfort

we have to let everyone grieve and feel this shit however their own nervous system needs. this is gonna be a long fight
It’s okay to be sad right now guys fuck stop telling ppl not to despair and get back to work, this is why so many ppl are in a state of apathy and dissociation cuz they don’t even have space from movement leaders to feel how they feel

As we are in cookout season, here’s a gentle reminder for the village:

People aren’t always talkative.
People don't eat foods they don't want.
People decide if/who they hug.
People may need a moment to process a crowded space.

Children are people. Respect them as persons.
