Heard a lot of you chatting shit about Newgrange, and I'll admit it's a solid B-tier henge, but Avebury is the thinking man's henge - it encircles a large part of a village. You can live in a henge.

There are fantasy swords named Widowmaker in many a fiction, and then there is this.
This giant pinecone belongs to the coulter pine! It can be found in California & Mexico. Nicknamed “the widowmaker,” it produces some of the world's largest pinecones—which can weigh ~11 lbs (5 kg) & plummet to the ground with deadly force!

And also, life is not supposed to be *permanently* stressful. We're adapted to short periods of stress. If you maintain that kind of thing for weeks, let alone months or years, with no respite or hope, that's putting people into PTSD territory.

I put in a formal complaint about this and they did a classic NHS move: boilerplate reply with a “fact sheet” about what they’re doing
I replied like, “I already know the facts. I’m not requesting info, I’m saying what you’re doing is immoral.” And they ignored it lol

The NHS are forcibly detransitioning trans kids in Brighton and calling it “managed withdrawal.” Their own impact assessment acknowledges trans kids will be at increased risk of harm as a result, don’t want this, and are likely to just use DIY hormones instead
