I think about Round the Twist a lot. I feel like it got away with a lot of extremely dodgy content for children’s TV (the pissing up the wall contest one, for example, which is entitled “little squirt”) because we all just remember the banging theme tune.

Today all I really need to do is pop out to get a usb stick (because academic conferences don’t care about data security I guess) and that is a nice feeling.

I would strongly recommend not walking at full pelt into those little thigh height trolley barrier things that stop you going out the wrong way. Walking into them the wrong way I mean. OUCH.

You know, I've had such a lot of people who know more than me about something trying to catch me out when talking about said thing, that I'd forgotten that usually people talk to you about shared interests because they're interested and excited to share knowledge.

I absolutely love that if you want to buy tech stuff here, the best place is literally called "Pat and Brenda Tech" (well, PB Tech, but that's what it stands for)

Have been working extremely hard on some very difficult and not really in my wheelhouse RA work the past 2 weeks. I know rationally that I should be proud to have even nearly finished the thing, but I can't stop being just a bit disappointed in myself.

Have to say, it was nice not doing a remembrance parade this year. No mad dashes to get a forgotten flag. No freezing cold church with no boiler. No fainting tweenagers.
