Hey, @billgates.com. Since you're giving away most of your money anyway, why not do what Elon won't with his and make a new company to give the US an efficient High Speed Rail system. It'd probably really make Musk angry and you'll have the last laugh.
Or give it to me and I'll do that.

Let's see how many non-bots I have following me.
Hey these are always kind of fun.

I told my wife 2 weeks ago that we'll have Trump-branded goon squads in 3-6 months. She doesn't believe me...
Within 90 days, SecDef, in coordination with the AG, shall determine how military and national security assets, training, non-lethal capabilities, and personnel can most effectively be utilized to prevent crime

This mechanism shall inc use of private-sector pro bono assistance for such enforcement

Every argument put forward by a transphobe/homophobe/whatever-phobe just boils down to this idea:
"Ew! That's gross and weird!"
They are children and should be treated as such.
This statement about the transphobic Supreme Court ruling by the UK's Crab Museum (yes a museum about crabs) is better than 99% of the statements I've seen on the topic

I think one of the most socially destructive effects of social media has been the collapse of the concept of different communication channels with different valences (by valence, I mean intended purpose, tone, reception, and other meta-factors)

this may take a few posts to elaborate on

"And what happens as more of American society falls apart? Will my family die if we don’t flee?
When will we know it’s time to?
Why do I live here?
What if I defect to another country?
Would I be a coward for that?
Is it a moral abdication at all?"

These questions keep me up at night.

If only someone had warned them at any point over the past decade....if only.
I'm watching CNBC. These anchors are so angry. They really didn't believe he'd do it. They're actually just now, 10 years into this shit, realizing he's a maniac hellbent on revenge and there's no grand plan for the markets. Better late than never but holy shit.

Remember kids, Republicans only yell about the culture war so they can get away with the class war.
Nearly every Republican in the Senate voted to overturn a Biden Admin rule that limited bank overdraft fees to $5.

This rule, initially established by the now gutted CFPB, was expected to save consumers $5 billion annually.

The GOP is the party of junk fees.

That's the biggest problem we have as the left. We're correct too soon. Like a parent telling their child "I used to be with 'it'. Then they changed what 'it' was. It'll happen to you!" and the child going "No way, man!"
I feel like I'm a scientist in a disaster movie who spent years trying to warn people of the impending disaster. Only nobody listened. And now that the disaster is upon us, the authorities are like "Yo, smarty-pants, what should we do about this here disaster?"

And I'm like: "THE FUCK DO I KNOW?"

🚨 Everyone needs to call their Dem Senator right now. They are starting to cave.

Tell them:
1. Vote NO on Cloture
AND
2. Vote NO on the Republican spending bill.

Don’t let them pivot to reconciliation. GOP doesn’t need Dem votes on that and they know it.

TODAY is the showdown.

DEI = CRT = Polictical Correctness = Affirmative Action = Welfare Queen = N-word.
Republicans have had no new ideas for my whole life (45 years).
“Today, DEI has become the new N-word; the new rightwing abstraction deployed by Republicans to conceal their anti-Black racism.”

My latest for the Guardian, in which I cite Lee Atwater, and bring lots of receipts.

Sorry, but it has to be said:

These stupid dipshits don't have a plan, they just want to inflict pain. They didn't come to the table to play chess, they're just here to make you eat the pieces.

This article is amazing and details just about everything I feel about how dead and anti-human the forced push toward "AI" seems.
Earlier this month I went to Las Vegas and saw the bleak and lonely AI-managed world of the future at the Consumer Electronics Show. I wrote about that, and other possible futures, and a neat soft-serve machine I'd love to have in my home. defector.com/the-future-i...
