I am absolutely interested, and I thank you for sharing your expertise! I always get it confused but “mallard” is a type of duck (regardless of gender) whereas “drake” is the one that means “a boy duck,” right? I always get those confused 🤦🏻♀️ (I blame Darkwing Duck, secret identity ‘Drake Mallard’ 😅)

trying to figure out why other south indian people I meet anywhere in the US so often assume I am either telugu or mallu
like that's specifically the two big ones that I'm not! (I am actually tamil and kannadiga) and I guess there's like some amount of numerical odds stuff going on here but still
