I noticed while picketing in front of Tesla in Chicago during this past Saturday’s #TeslaTakedown protests that as more cops showed the numbers dwindled. This was before the women’s march came and the now famous picture of cops. As CPD presence grew in anticipation of the march folks got scared.
Every time someone makes an AI image of Trump doing something stupid, it takes credibility away from all the images that are real.

My hope for all of us in opposition to this regime is that one day soon we are going to be collectively rallying around a group of workers who finally decide enough is enough. Then the dam will break and the people will win.
Seems unfair to timber folks to make them keep working without pay.
The Forest Service says staff that organize timber sales are essential, so logging national forests continues through the shutdown, even as hundreds of thousands of other workers are furloughed. www.opb.org/article/2025...

All the videos we see of ICE/police/military assaulting people on camera are happening because they know they will face no consequences for their actions. They're breaking the law because they believe the law no longer applies to them. What kept them in check before was fear. Now they have none.

All charges brought against protesters at Broadview today must be dropped. When cops and agents attack crowds without provocation, they make shit up to justify their attacks (in his case, an attack waged on a cooperative crowd to produce fascist social media content). These charges must be dropped.

Stop beating around the bush when talking about these people. Call them what they are people are paying attention.
I'll get up on my soapbox to say this is one reason why the Midwest rules. We don't need fancy words or need to project intelligence in our speech - we just "say it like it is" and turns out that resonates with people. Plain language, get to the point, etc.

This took a while to get done, but I've chronicled my day among the protesters in Los Angeles, and the idea that this is anything but a celebration of cultural heritage and a firm, nonviolent demand to protect family, friends and neighbors is totally ridiculous.
