It is absolutely not a coincidence that climate change and fascism are trending at the same time.

The fossil fuel industry knows, and has known, that it cannot survive if people are able to govern themselves.

One father, a U.S. citizen, walked into a green-card interview with his wife & 4-month-old baby.

He walked out with the baby in his arms…& his wife in ICE custody.

No criminal record, just families being separated. Trump said he would only go after violent criminals, he lied.

I checked the GasFriend app to see how much sunshine costs. Still free.
Gas prices drop below $3 per gallon, lowest since 2021.

Creating a military conflict with Venezuela gives this administration a legal "hook" to invoke the Alien Enemies Act. In other words, the foreign war is being manufactured in order to facilitate court deference for its domestic mass deportation policy. It's a Stephen Miller Special.

Not a lot of folks out there, of any political persuasion, have the courage that some of these Indiana Senate Republicans do
Indiana Senate Republican Greg Walker “said he would have reported the alleged violation to federal authorities “if I thought that there was anyone of integrity in Washington that would follow through on my accusation ..”

Possibly because I was growing up Jewish only ~30 years after the Holocaust, but the evil of “scapegoating” was hammered into me repeatedly. I rarely see the term used, but it’s exactly what Trump, Miller, Noem and the right wing at large do, explicitly, and it should be forcefully condemned.

Let’s be 100% clear:

It is Stephen Miller, and his broken values, that is creating the “conditions and terrors of a broken homeland.“

It is he who “refuses to assimilate” to what America actually is, and always has been: Diverse.

Give me your tired, your poor, etc. America Forever.
Stephen Miller is now arguing that assimilation is fundamentally impossible and that certain cultures are not compatible with Western civilization

We're gonna need a truth and reconciliation commission and Nuremberg style trials to reckon with all of this evil, and any Dem candidate for office who shies away from a full reckoning in the name of "moving forward as a nation" can get well and truly fucked

I feel much safer today knowing that we deported a Babson College student back to a country where she hasn't lived since childhood.

She wasn't even flying internationally. She was flying to Texas.

They also generate thousands of jobs, reduce our exposure to volatile gas prices, and allow us to stick two fingers up to fossil-fueled dictators.

About 90,000 people living near larger chemical plants face an unacceptable risk of developing cancer, the EPA says.

New rules adopted last year could’ve cut that number to 3,000 residents — a drop of 97%.

But Trump has halted those efforts.
Air Pollution From Industrial Facilities Is Far Worse Than Estimated
The Trump administration has put a stop to EPA rules that would have required more than 130 industrial facilities to install air monitors to measure pollution. Millions of people living near these pla...

Man those folks were fools. “Well I believe in efficiency” like I believe in the teachings of Bophades.

Corruption. It. Was. Corruption.
You know what was unhelpful, all the electeds and pundits back in the spring saying, "to be sure, maybe DOGE is needed to increase efficiency". That's not what it was for, it was meant for destruction and crimey stuff. Total marks.

Expanding #SCOTUS needs to be a priority of the entire center+left.

Roberts et al are in-your-face corrupt, unaccountable. They have enabled outrageous lawlessness; 2+2=7 legal results; contempt for the court system and rule of law they are sworn to protect.

It’s a legit crisis.
Mother Jones has been on fire on the John Roberts beat and, man, I'd love to see our national press pick up this ball.

"It’s impossible to imagine today’s crisis without the Roberts court having first undermined the foundations of our democracy."

Home insurance is in crisis, and Big Oil's lies are to blame.

"We’re never going to bend the curve of ever-rising insurance costs without addressing the core driver of higher prices: the worsening climate disasters that Big Oil knowingly made a reality," explains CCI's @iylas.bsky.social.
