The thing about Mamdani is that he’s a talented politician but not otherworldly or one in a billion, he’s just a competent guy with popular ideas who ran against an entitled piece of shit and to me it’s a lot more optimistic to imagine 1000 campaigns like his than to view him as a unique phenomenon

Occasionally I become so blinded by my want for precision that I forget how to draw and have to make myself create abstract contour drawings or some other experiment.
Then it's a matter of finding balance between rigid form and free form.

I'm here to tell you that voice actors (even very very good ones) are not expensive, more than make up for their cost in the value they bring to your game, and if Baldur's Gate can record real actors for every line of dialogue in the game, so can you for your 100 generic barks or even specific ones.

I mean, we all knew The Game Awards is basically two E3 presentations wearing a trenchcoat, and Geoff Keighley an empty, light, flaky Kojima Productions-branded phyllo dough shell of a man. But god damn.
I am once again begging y'all to elevate the DICE and BAFTA game awards above this shit.

Nothing illustrates the arseholery of the IOC and the British Press more than the use of the image of a not-Trans woman to illustrate a story about trans women being banned (because there are no current trans women competing at this level)

I have been an avid crossword-puzzler for as long as I can remember, including cryptics and currently learning about metas, and I still learned stuff from the mini series. Very worth a play, you can easily get the seven-day free trial and run through all the minis in a few hours

I'm not going to say vonnegut was flawless because no human being is, and pretending otherwise is a fool's endeavor, but
Man he really was something else. He understood the craft better than anyone. Truly a legend.
Man he really was something else. He understood the craft better than anyone. Truly a legend.
In 2006 a high school English teacher asked students to write to a famous author & ask for advice.
KURT VONNEGUT - born 103yrs ago today - was the only one to respond.
His reply was a doozy.

soon may the wellerman come
your brain gets smart but your head gets dumb
so much to do, so much to see
to bring us sugar and rum and tea
we'll take our leave and go
you'll never shine if you don't glow
