This is rr how most people I know became radical lefties. You go to an antifascist demonstration because you just think it's your democratic duty and you suddenly see cops beating your friends up to make way for actual Nazis. And then media will report you were the violent ones.
One of the things about people showing up to protest for the first time, that many, many armchair theorists don't grasp, is the effect of seeing what happens with your own eyes, then seeing how media covers it, and what is said ABOUT YOU by media and political personalities/office holders.

I have zero expectation that anyone will stand with Canada in the event of US aggression against us. Certainly not the UK or Europe. Not conscientious objectors in the American military. Not Democrats. Not the American people on the whole.
If we don’t have the courage to stand against blatant imperialism, we shouldn’t be surprised when no one stands with Canada either.

Bob and I were among the hundreds of researchers that were supposed to conduct the 6th U.S. National Climate Assessment. Now it looks like they're gonna produce it with a few people and Grok? Communities need rigorous and accurate information about climate change. This will put communities at risk.

I think it’s important for people to see these posts from the president in their natural habitat to give them context because truly what Trump is saying here is that his opposition should be murdered and that speaking, the truth is the equivalent of sedition. This is an incredibly dangerous combo.
