My main argument about transphobes not all being obviously maliciously intended is partly because the "good intentions" are structured to facilitate harm also.

I think maybe a better framework than intention and malice (personal, psychological) is Values communicated (social, organisational)

This is excellent & draws out something the rest of the media is ignoring: among other things, the Epstein files have made it super, super clear that the entire "anti-woke" cultural hysteria was engineered by powerful men averse to accountability.

After operating since 2009, Sheffield’s main WI is set to close because all the volunteers running it are leaving.

Trans exclusion means spaces for all women are being lost.

So the bottom line:
NHS waiting lists fell sharply in 20 trusts, all in poor areas
Streeting made this big part of his leadership pitch.
Now HF analysis shows Wes’s pilots didnt do more ops, but did fewer referrals & more removals from list for unexplained reasons
Many have told me of dirty tricks 👇

This is also extremely common for GIC waiting lists- see this from a few years ago over the summer holidays.

One of the wickedest things Wes Streeting has ever done is push politically convenient falsehoods about suicide rates amongst young trans people. We have new data from the National Child Mortality Database that exposes the truth he tried to cover up.
New data shows surge in trans kids’ suicides following healthcare rollbacks | Good Law Project
A freedom of information request by Good Law Project has found that deaths by suicide of trans young people under 18 surged following the withdrawal of gender-affirming healthcare

The reason I mention the documentary Tickled is because it seriously demystifies a less bombastic example of a criminal conspiracy and because in general, conspiracies of abusers follow a pattern that everyone recognises from your office bully and their cronies up to the grandest scale.
There's a really really good documentary called Tickled (2016) by David Farrier, which starts off investigating a fetish pornography ring which was clearly abusing and coercing unwitting young performers in the fetish tickling genre. Big shot lawyers come for Farrier. People fly to NZ to silence him

Amidst discussion of the political nature of the Sullivan Review, it is important to note the ways in which it was immediately embedded into institutional practice, including across the NHS, used to remove trans children's rights.

📣 Today @felicitycallard.bsky.social and I have published the first peer-reviewed response to the 'Sullivan Review' of research and data on sex and gender.

The Review could threaten trans rights and inclusion, erode academic freedom, and undermine research quality.

I'm glad Dr Todd and Prof Callard remind us right at the start of their article that the Sullivan Review was commissioned as part of the Conservative Party's "Kicking Woke Ideology Out of Science" programme. A strong and stable grounding for policy-based evidence-making.

We find that the Sullivan Review's recommendations could have huge, negative consequences for how trans and gender diverse people are represented across public bodies like government, universities, and the NHS.

A report that's gone under the radar suggests that trans people make up 1% of people living in safe accommodation after experiencing domestic violence, despite best estimates that 0.5% of UK population is trans.

Realistically this will be an undercount, bc many trans people won't disclose.

Extremely frustrating that we may never find out what happened to many Cass Review related files, which have mysteriously gone missing, because there is 0 political will to find out.

(Not a dig at Ashley. Absolutely sensible to pick one's battles. 1000% a dig at ICO)
1/🧵 I regret to inform the community that, after taking independent legal advice, I have withdrawn my actions against NHS England and Hilary Cass.

A frustrating aspect of freedom of information law is that we can’t compel the Information Commissioner to investigate.

The BBC appear to have classified this as a 'not upheld: anti-trans bias', but looking at the complaint it is very clear the complainant was suggesting the BBC was too pro trans.

Notable reading the whole thing that more people would support removing separate men and women's ponds entirely than would support a """biological""" sex segregation.

We didn't make everything about us. They did. Compare the Advocate, the oldest and largest LGBTQ newspaper in the US, to Fox and the NYT. Both have been publishing more about us than our own newspapers for 3+ years.
