I think Streeting continuing to solicit opinions on trans healthcare as recently as last month from a group who advocate parents of trans youth block Childline and suggest putting chilli sauce in mascara as aversion suggests he is a very bad candidate.

They don't even need to go that far, they can realistically easily go on about reasonable concerns but say blocking Childline and chemical burns as punishment is too far

He's a de facto front runner because there was hardly choice to start and his competition starts getting mysteriously backstabbed!

Well they can just look at the front page of any newspaper, reporting the words of your parties leader.

This is the kicker - the "Puberty blockers study under investigation" headline which kicked off reams of coverage elsewhere was entirely concocted, because it was the *journalists themselves* who forced the investigation to happen. The investigation found nothing wrong, but by then it was too late.

I can't adequately express my fury and disgust at Maitliss, Barnes et al.
Staggering arrogance, personal prejudice and there being nobody at the BBC prepared to challenge their errors led them to do the opposite of journalism.
As a consequence, children in despair took their own lives.

This is very much in line with our thinking behind how we are framing the case.

We noticed that cis people seemed to listen more closely when we talked about it in terms of ethics rather than rights or outcomes. People also seem to be a little more sceptical of scientists than they are of doctors.

This research methodology - accessing medical records of trans minors without their consent - was made legal in UK only by a special act of government to carry out similar research here under the previous Tory government. It would have been illegal but for the government changing the law.
