I’m studying to be a teacher. Over and over we’re taught to create spaces where students feel a sense of belonging and acceptance. Not because it’s the right thing to do (ofc it is tho) but because of the mountains of research that finds this is the way humans learn best.
So, it looks like the new DfE guidance on trans students in schools incorporates recommendations from the Cass report. Suffice to say that is an *incredibly awful* decision.

One big missing piece of the picture of trans healthcare debate has been the shift from a one-size fits all program that emphasized a cis passing appearance as the only acceptable end to an individualized approach that offers only as much medical intervention as the patient wants and needs.

1. the inclusion of afro-Latinidad
2. the use of kids AS kids. they weren't doing much but vibing (said positively).
3. I think there are a lot of easter eggs that require repeat viewing
