You'd think it would be obvious to people when you look at the bland, centrist conformism that's compulsory in TV.
When I've patiently explained to someone who has absolutely no links to this industry beyond me how it's actually VERY HARD to get in to television and I haven't been lucky or talented or pretty enough to crack that code yet and they then suggest "what about America?" I just start fully crying.

People don’t get that Hollywood is incredibly conservative. There’s no industry that’s more risk-averse. They’re the people who will only laugh at a joke if everyone else laughs first.

Here's another horrible consequence to losing housing: you get out just in time to put your life's belongings in storage, then they raise that rate too, now don't have anywhere to sleep and also have nothing to start over with.
