On an inner-urban street corner is a building with a door opening to the corner. It appears to have once been a corner grocery or similar. Now it is painted in a dark mustard colour, and a sign reading "Vet" is attached to the other wall. Above the door a sculpture of a friendly white dog with black spots has been mounted. Aftermath of the Season's First Mango
Our eyes are roughly level with the waist of a fat white woman. She is topless, and is looking down at us. A trail of mango juice runs down her chest between her breasts, and a little piece of the fruit is just above us. We can see the inside folds of her long breasts. My Dinner With the ZX-20.
We look straight down at a heavily-edited photo of dinner. The photo has been edited to have the colour palette of a VIC-20 computer, and the resolution display of a ZX Spectrum. A crockery plate with brown markings holds some green spinach, on which are air-fried rissoles with tomato chutney on top. There are also two pieces of toast, which have thin slices of cheese on top. Ricotta Pastizzi for brunch earlier today
On the photographer's kitchen bench is a crockery plate dominated by red, with other black and white markings as well. On the plate are three-and-a-half golden pastizzi with flaky pastry, small hand-pie-like parcels filled with ricotta cheese. The half pastizzo is about half eaten, and is lying on another full one so we can see the cheese stuffing, pure and white inside the golden pastry.

In more pleasant news today, I got a cheap plastic 35mm film camera. It's rubbish, it doesn't even have a flash and the packaging says it's reusable, so you don't throw it away probably.

So, just the thing for me to start playing a bit with film.

Scrumbled Egg Lunch

These are like scrambled eggs but the beaten egg is poured into a pan and the mix is gently dragged into a bigger and bigger pile.

This veloway, due to open before the end of 2025,

travelling from Docklands to Yarraville and further south

We are on a side street that connects just ahead of us to a busy urban road. Above us, a newly-constructed bicycle path rises on thick pillars, crossing the busy road and curving off to our left. We can also see, behind it, parts of a tall covering for a portal out of a new road tunnel. We are on a side street, near to where it joins a busy industrial road. Right above our heads is a concrete and steel bridge supported by round pillars. The bridge crosses the busy road, and then curves off to our left. The part of it above the road is clad in a fibreglass designed to stop motorists being distracted by individual users of the bridge. The footbridge and curved trail are part of the bikeway linked to the new West Gate tunnel. The bike way will eventually lead to Melbourne's Docklands, giving bicycles and pedestrians the chance to avoid busy roads full of cars and trucks in the inner western suburbs.

I have taken a step up in my latte art skills recently. I'm finding that I'm understanding more exactly what I need to do when I steam the milk, to get it to behave how I want when I'm drawing the art. This has taken me about five years to get right. Admittedly, I usually only make one or two a day.
On the photographer's kitchen bench is a double-walled coffee glass resting on a cloth coaster in the shape of a coffee mug. We are looking straight down at the glass, at a piece of latte art. It is in the style of a narrow tulip. There is one curved bottom leaf of the tulip, and three hearts above it.

We are on top of the high edge of a railway cutting. Below us the tracks travel to our left, while curving to their own right. The front carriage of a blue, steel and yellow Melbourne suburban train is on the right side of the photo, in heavy shade but heading straight for the golden sunlight ahead of it, which shines on the curve. The scrubby plants and trees of Australian urban bushland cover the sides and top of the cutting; we can also just see the steel bar of a safety fence near us.

We are on an asphalt bicycle path; it is next to a creek that we can barely see. We are surrounded by concrete pillars because we are under one of Melbourne's enormous elevated toll roads. Through small gaps in the pillars the golden setting sun shines through. By an artefact of the small phone camera lens the straight sunrays appear impossibly curved as they reach through to us. Ahead of us the bike path curves the other way, to our left. We can see the on-ramp to the toll road, and a small patch of blue sky, through a slightly larger gap. We are tiny and the roads dominate us. Or perhaps they are so big they can barely notice us as we scurry along on our own business.

Breakfast was delicious, including leftover Vacherousse d'Argental cheese slathered on sourdough rye toast.
On a plate decorated in a blue and yellow Moroccan style is a cooked breakfast. There are some scrambled eggs, a pile of Cherry tomatoes and cannelini beans, and two pieces of light rye sourdough spread thickly with Vacherousse d'Argental cheese. On a blue cloth coaster shaped like a coffee mug, with the word "coffee" embroidered on it, is a coffee glass with a latte inside.

Spent the afternoon hanging with @thedescenters.bsky.social - weather and company was awesome, and the food was pretty nice too.

Then I scooted on Delphine to North Melbourne station via Royal Park and the Moonee Ponds trail.

Long day, I'm pretty tired now, but it was a great afternoon.
