Two women trained as first responders were abducted by three ICE agents. One of the agents starts seizing. The other two don’t know what to do. The women jump into action and save the agent’s life, only to be re-handcuffed and processed.

Detained by ICE, two women became first responders during agent’s seizure
The women say they guided agents through the emergency, later raising concerns about medical protocols, weapons safety and accountability.

This is the giveaway that it has zero to do with criminals. Cops aren't about to stop arresting a serial killer if there was a large crowd booing them and honking. ICE is trying to menace a community. Inflict violence and terror.
Another question I came here with was: how effective are the whistles and honking? Does it stop abductions? And the answer is, surprisingly to my cynical self, yes, and often. I have talked to so many people who have successfully interrupted kidnappings.

Big news in Colorado: Conservatives succeeded in getting a pro-ICE measure on the upcoming ballot.

This'll be a big one.
Colorado voters will be deciding this year on a conservative-backed constitutional amendment to require collaboration with ICE.

The SOS just announced that this proposal qualified for the ballot, background on it here from @coloradosun.com: coloradosun.com/2025/12/22/w...
Would Initiative 95 require police in Colorado to work with ICE?
Yes. If passed, Proposition 95 would require police to alert immigration authorities after some arrests, if a person's immigration status is unknown.

ICE used a warrantless forced entry to arrest a US citizen with no criminal record. Rather than acknowledge error, they smeared the family, saying they were harboring sex offenders and critics were defending sex offenders.
Turns out that one of their targets was already in jail. ICE never checked.

Maybe it goes higher, but damn, if you got some, not a bad time to sell some. This move is insane. I bought at $16.9. Not selling it all, but I’m surely selling some. Maybe most. 2/3rds at least.

Good question.

1) Covering substantive issues is harder than repeating press releases and reading the crime blotter

2) Challenging power and calling out BS makes powerful people angry

3) There is an audience for the old 'litany of tragedy' local news model of gawking at others' misfortune
Again, I ask: Why can't local news elsewhere be this factual and informative instead of fluff stories and "live" shots from the scene where some horrific crime happened more than a day ago?

People in Colorado have no idea how fortunate they are.
