Just because I feel like I'm losing my mind. He is describing the ACA tax credits right? I mean obviously he doesn't know that, and thinks magical things could happen, but giving people money to buy health insurance is the ACA tax credit. Right? Or am I losing it?
Trump: "I want the money to go into an account for people where they buy their own health insurance. It's so good. The insurance will be better. It'll cost less. Everybody is gonna be happy. They're gonna feel like entrepreneurs. They're actually able to go out & negotiate their own insurance"

Is there anything good in this deal?
Buried inside the deal to reopen government is a provision that would give Senators private right of action to sue for millions in damages over their phone records being analyzed by Jack Smith's team.

Could someone explain to me what is meant when a British person refers to "the middle class" ? Like, in the US, as I hear it, it basically just means a person who makes a certain amount of money, not too far below and not wildly above the median. Seems like a complex concept when UK writers use it?

As of Nov 6 the federal government has brought in $227 billion tariff revenue. If ALL OF IT was spent on sending out $2,000 checks then that would be 113.5 million people who receive checks or 33% of the US population

lmfao he knows he's unpopular so he's trying to hit the affordability button by sending out checks with his name on it again

The Democratic party is the party viewed as the party of low tariffs. What a world.
Almost all Americans know Donald Trump supports high tariffs, but many aren't sure about the positions of other current and historical politicians.

What does ‘pro-life’ mean? There’s no one answer – even for advocacy groups that oppose abortion
The term ‘pro-life’ can seem simple – but how Americans and advocacy groups interpret it varies widely.

Everyday Trump does something that would be a 3 alarm crisis for a Democratic president, and would be described as pivot point for their administration.
Trump to air traffic controllers: "For those that did nothing but complain, and took time off, even though everyone knew they would be paid, IN FULL, shortly into the future, I am NOT HAPPY WITH YOU. You didn’t step up to help the U.S.A. against the FAKE DEMOCRAT ATTACK"

Primarily it’s a mix of experimentation and biased estimates that get lucky
