Anyway, here's some wrestling promotions you can watch that are better than WWE and aren't currently doing a show in Saudi Arabia in an arena built by enslaved people (I'm going to skip AEW as they're hopefully already well known):

If you see this, don't participate. It's a rigged study by Lisa Littman and unethical researcher J. Michael Bailey meant to undermine access to care. Spread the word.

Giovanni's on Shattuck Ave.

Had this great warm focaccia and a big circular fireplace; the wife and I ducked in there to warm up on rainy days when we were first dating.

(Honorably mention: Edie's, also on Shattuck, and their shake-like Alaskan Root Beer, the secret of which seems lost to time)

Those of you who still insist on drawing a distinction between ICE and police should be aware that the police are not drawing that distinction.
Thank you for telling us you neither serve nor protect. Thank you for saying the quiet part out loud. That was state murder in broad daylight, captured from multiple angles by multiple witnesses, and the people of Minneapolis have eyes.

You support murder.

it is terrifying and awful that this passed the House with any Dem support at all (and once again, the continued leadership support for Cuellar is unconscionable)

call your senators and make absolutely sure this dies in the Senate, lives are on the line

trans people deserve so much better
Henry Cuellar, Don Davis, and Vicente Gonzalez joined Republicans in voting to criminalize trans health care.

The bill passed only 216 to 214.

4 Republicans voted no. If they did too, it would have failed.

How oddly specific.

I neither knew nor cared about the type of vehicle in which Duffy lost his virginity but I guess we all just have to live with this now
Sean Duffy on slashing fuel economy standards: "This rule will actually allow you to bring back the 1970s station wagon. Maybe a little wood paneling on the side. We can bring back choice to consumers."

What game made you fall in love with video games?

As a kid, I was enthralled by tales of knights (King Arthur & co. in particular) as well as The Hobbit, and then a friend had the first Wizardry and it was like, "Here, you can (kinda sorta) 'be' all that..."
