My general rule of thumb is if an artist is actively spewing hate, I won't fund their hate machine one cent.

Can't do much about Picasso being a dick, so I can stare at his paintings. Though his dickiness does inform how I interpret them.

Fuck TERFS.

I spent a long time trying to figure out what to do with my Harry Potter books, because just dumping them in a little free library felt wrong. So I mailed them to this artist who was turning them into portraits of murdered trans women

Pam Bondi's insane level of defensiveness today when asked about Trump and Epstein tells us that whatever Trump did with Epstein was the worst possible thing.

She REALLY doesn't want to talk about Epstein.
wow -- Bondi throws a fit in response to Nadler's question about how many of Epstein's co-conspirators, if any, she's investigating, aggressively pointing at him and yelling. The hearing then devolves into chaos and Raskin and Bondi start yelling at each other.

The thing about public power on NorCal is that it's incredibly complicated to solve and also PG&E is structurally maldesigned with regards to solving it. The corp layer is a bunch of parasites, the debt holdings make it radioactive to change, and the magnitude of infra is A Lot.

But what if. 🥺

The Liberal Case for Public Power
When power is treated as a public good, it becomes cheaper, more reliable, and better positioned to meet the challenges of the future than privately held electrical utilities have ever demonstrated.

I'm sure the mad king being at 36% is totally unrelated to this
Gallup says it will stop doing presidential approval polls (after 88 years of doing it) because of "an evolution in how Gallup focuses it's public research". This is eliminating a time series that goes back to FDR.

Photos are of a car that obviously got t-boned or sideswiped from an angle, it is seriously smashed in.
This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paul—an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.

Since the early days of the space program, astronauts have quarantined before missions because any illness could be disastrous. It’s eminently logical — not “extreme” — for athletes who’ve trained their WHOLE LIVES for one event to take similar precautions in order to stay in peak physical condition

There's an interesting thing in physics where without calculus, all you can really do is accept a bunch of seemingly arbitrary equations.

Once you have calculus under your belt, all those arbitrary equations are suddenly connected, you can turn one into another one easily.
