I blocked someone who responded to this, because I looked at her other replies and she seemed to be searching for the word veteran and trashing everybody who had ever been in military service for basically being complicit in wiping out third world nations.
It's complicated.

I know someone who is a veteran, who is also queer / non-binary / disabled. They voted for Trump because he said he would treat veterans well.

Oh jfc. Would that be the former governor of California who was okay with everybody having guns until the Black Panthers got them, and then he went all gun control honest? (TBH he did some good things with regard to local environmental protections. But mostly meh or ick.)

Just remember, vote for the person you love in the primaries, but unite to vote Blue in the national election, because a 3rd party or no-vote is a vote for MAGA.

I feel like I am fairly plugged in wrt US defense and foreign policy (or at least I try to pay attention, anyway) and it's unclear to me why we are so close to Saudi Arabia

I decided I wanted the rest of my pumpkin curry soup for lunch so I went for it in the fridge and started to pour it in a cup then realized I had a quart of yogurt. Swapped it out, got the soup, then put the cup in to heat. But I put it into the refrigerator.
