I think we need to revisit what organizations are funded by DHS though. We actively need the Coast Guard for reasons very separate from what the current DHS represents.
In America our schools and health care don’t have the funding they need, so seeing dhs, an agency created out of xenophobia after 9/11 and now actively working against our national security, lose access to its funding for all the right reasons is (chefs kiss).

We trying to have most #kakapo chicks hatch in nests on Pukenui, so don't have many eggs in the incubators. But there are ~4 which we're incubating and will put in nests just before they hatch. The Anchor chicks are due to start hatching soon - watch this space! #kakapo2026 #conservation

The center of Cyclone Gezani moved along the western edge of the forecast cone of uncertainty from the JTWC forecast, resulting in the western eyewall impacting the peninsula where Inhambane, Mozambique is situated. Automated satellite estimates indicated the intensity was in the 90-100 kt range.
