Once again I ask activists and allies to watch this documentary. It's on Netflix in the US, find it where you can. It is so well done and shows you what we're fighting for.

In terms of what cures are being lost:

- Epstein-Barr virus is perhaps the major trigger for multiple sclerosis
- herpes simplex virus causes cold sores, genital herpes, infections in babies, deadly meningitis
- shingles virus causes an intensely painful disease

I think we need to revisit what organizations are funded by DHS though. We actively need the Coast Guard for reasons very separate from what the current DHS represents.
In America our schools and health care don’t have the funding they need, so seeing dhs, an agency created out of xenophobia after 9/11 and now actively working against our national security, lose access to its funding for all the right reasons is (chefs kiss).

Tomatoes are a kind of fruit, platypus are mammals that lay eggs, what exactly is a fish anyway?

These categorisations *are useful* and definitely have their place, but nature doesn't give a shit about any of them. Nature just trucks on and does its own thing.

In incredible news, the European Parliament has voted overwhelmingly for "The Full Recognition Of Trans Women As Women."

Even the center-right European People's Party voted for the declaration.

It will form a foundation for their position at the UN Commission on the Status of Women.

Our latest.

The resolution, though nonbinding, is a significant shot at those who seek to erode transgender rights on the continent.

When we call the system “broken,” we imply malfunction. We imply the system is trying to help and failing. We imply that fixing it means adjusting mechanisms, replacing parts.
But what if it’s running fine? What if it’s doing exactly what it was designed to do?

His repeal is going to lose in court due to previous SCOTUS ruling & lower courts' refusal to hear legal challenges to it.

Decent odds that they’re doing this specifically because NIAID is the institute that Anthony Fauci led.
Scoop: The NIH infectious-diseases institute (NIAID) will soon scrub “pandemic preparedness” and “biodefense” from its web pages, according to e-mails I obtained.

The directive is the start of a broader shake-up at NIAID, which has long been attacked by Republicans.
