Time to pin this, especially for everyone calling for a general strike. How about you hold to THIS as part of the training for a general strike. Keep up THIS boycott first. Then, we shall see what happens.

Just now: The plaintiffs who were arguing that Utah GOP's congressional map is illegal won in court.

The judge orders one of the two maps submitted by the plaintiffs ('map 1') be used.

The ruling, if it stands, guarantees that Democrats will pick up a congressional seat in Utah next year.

Blackwater oyster boy has multiple posts about how Schumer should step down & isn’t fit but Governor Mills is tweeting out how Susan Collins voted against extending ACA subsidies in the amendment process. That whelp can’t be bothered when Collins doesn’t get him rage clicks.

Once again, newsreaders and anchor-folk: it is NOT “the MLB” it is just MLB! This is a #Subskeet.

One more skeet for Edmund Fitzgerald Day. Behind this historical marker is the famed Whitefish Bay. Today the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum in Paradise, Mich., rang the recovered bell 31 times, 29 for the victims of the wreck, once for all Great Lakes shipwreck victims, and once for Gordon Lightfoot.

Good grief! The Christmas tree in Union Square was lit tonight? It just seems a little early…🤷🏻‍♀️ Oh, well, people will enjoy it and that’s the main thing.

SNAP embarrassed him. So now he's against SNAP. SNAP is now the James Comey of government assistance programs.
President Trump criticized the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) during a Fox News interview tonight, saying people "get it automatically now so the number is many times what it should be, it's disgraceful."
Trump says "we can reform" SNAP
"SNAP is supposed to be if you are down and out," Trump said on Fox News this evening.

A tech billionaire mocked Pope Leo XIV’s call for ethical AI.

The post was deleted — but not before exposing Silicon Valley’s deeper discomfort: a pope they can’t buy or bully.

It also revealed something older: the Valley’s original sin — the desire to be God.
Tech Billionaire Mocks Pope Leo’s AI Warning — and Reveals Silicon Valley’s Original Sin
A billionaire tech guru openly mocked Leo's call for moral AI — and quickly backtracked after backlash. It’s a telling collision of Silicon Valley hubris with a pope they cannot buy, bully, or ignore.

Rick Scott told me his plan would be to take all of the remaining ACA subsidies and redistribute them to HSA accounts and people can then buy whatever insurance a state certifies. Basically a repeal/replace.
He denied when I asked wouldn’t that create two-tiered system where sick pay much more…

In the century leading up to 1975, nearly 6000 freighters went down in the Great Lakes.

The Edmund Fitzgerald was the last.

The last. In 50 years, not a single commercial freighter has been lost in the Great Lakes.

Why?

It's NOAA. Of course it's NOAA.

DO NOT VOTE FOR THIS MAN.
1/? Please do not vote for him! He said that he would not support Hakeem Jeffries for Speaker of the House. As Black people we are fighting a two-front war. The GOP is trying to dilute our voting power with gerrymandering and the "left" is trying to dilute b/c they want to be "the base". WAKE UP!

Lawrence O’Donnell has an interesting take on the recent vote to reopen the government in the Senate. He was a staff member to a senator back in the 90s and explains how things work behind the scenes in the Senate. Feeling a bit more optimistic about the situation now. Fingers crossed.

OMG OMG. I think Lawrence O’Donnell has just convinced me that I was wrong in my views of Chuck Schumer and of the resolution of the shutdown.

It's very hard, probably impossible, to understand what is going on when so much of it is hidden behind closed doors. That is a situation I can't abide.
