Senate Parliamentarian pro tempore. Compost the rich.
Can journalists finally quit pretending rich people are somehow experts at every subject under the sun when so many of them are obviously inarticulate, uneducated idiots that just won the birth lottery?
One of the striking things in Epstein's emails is how fucking inarticulate he is, and how *every other billionaire is just as bad at communicating*.

They're the exact textual equivalents of any interview with Altman or Musk or Thiel etc just fucking babbling incoherent word salad.

Remember: The richest 1% evade over $160 billion in taxes every year.

That amount would fund SNAP for a year with money to spare.

Ask yourself who the real freeloaders are.

We will not take down Trump—who is symptom, not cause—if we don’t also take down Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, and Larry Ellison as well as the cabal of little fascist billionaires like Bill Ackman, Miriam Adelson, Richard and Elizabeth Uihlein, Peter Thiel, Ken Griffin, Jeff Yass, etc.

the thing that was terrifying to them about FDR wasn't so much the policies themselves (which were, of course, far short of socialism or communism) but that they were incredibly popular and lead to electoral dominance until FDR's death (and even somewhat after)
The Business Elite never forgave FDR for lifting millions out of poverty and they vowed to spend the next century destroying the country for it.
Just saw a video of Bill Maher calling Mamdani a “straight up communist” and I continue to be struck by the depiction of policies associated with the New Deal Order as far-left extremism, which goes along with a refusal to depict Trump’s unprecedented authoritarian actions as far-right extremism.

Everything the rich have ever wanted is being delivered, a further weakened labor movement, a gutted regulatory regime, a public sector being strangled in a puddle. The rest was hokum invented by academic scribblers searching for a logical rationale for the rich to be more dominant.
I'm totally baffled abt the markets. Where is Capital? Trump is messing w/ govt data; imposing tariffs; flirting w/ default; meddling in corporate management.

Where are the CEO complaints? The bond vigilantes? Where are billionaire hedge funders who trade on good data? Was Capital's power a mirage?

And he has demonstrated time and again that he does not understand economic statistics." With embarrassing examples from trade, employment, LFP, UI.... [Dominic Pino, NRO]

The reason they make it so difficult to get out of student debt, out of medical debt, out of rent, out of your auto loan, out of your mortgage — is because the more you owe, the more of your income that goes to paying off debt, the more docile you are. Debt is a discipline.

We in Illinois obviously need a recall mechanism right about now.
There is very little about this CR that I like—but there is even less I like about a government shutdown. With Trump & Musk taking a chainsaw to the government’s workforce & illegally freezing funding, the last thing we need to do is plunge our country into further chaos by shutting down the govt.
