In 2026 we are respecting the horror genre!!!
I see many people saying SINNERS shouldn’t be considered a “mere” horror film because it’s so good and thematically layered. Which strikes me as very insulting to Ryan Coogler (who was obviously overjoyed to be making a horror film) and, well, the entire history of the genre! It’s a rich field!
