God I love this.
This is perfect. The DOJ's embarrassing snafu with disappearing redactions was the fault of Elon Musk. Musk cancelled government subscriptions to Adobe programs that would have made the redactions permanent. What a pack of fools.

There’s lots of theories as to why ICE hasn’t had a greater presence in Philadelphia, as opposed to places like Los Angeles or Chicago.

I’d like to think it’s partly because everyday regular Philadelphians scare the shit out of them.

ICE are bullies and nobody can bully Philadelphia.
ICE agent recognized out Christmas shopping—throws tantrum when citizens profile him.

"We're trying to prevent you from kidnapping our neighbors," they say.

"I'm not doing anything but walking, leave me alone!" he yells.

"Not right now you're not—but the past 5 days you have."

A lot of well-meaning progressives on this site have been funding slavery in Myanmar and Cambodia in the unshakable conviction that every dollar they give is instantly being translated into food magically making its way past a military blockade by the most competent armed force in the Middle East.
I just assume any accounts doing that are probably Myanmar forced labor scammers and instablock, and it's depressing that people haven't figured out that nobody legit is spamming people that way

OK, less contentious post:

And Tiny Tim, who did NOT die, but with strange aeons that which is not dead can eternal lie.

The Philly numbers are wild. Philadelphia clocked 562 homicides in 2021, actually beating out the previous peak of 1990, which had 500. A greater than 50% reduction!

On the one hand: great news. On the other: probably not great for whatever your personal theory of what drives murder rates is.
I count 10 cities in 2025 that are on track to have the fewest murders since at least 1970. Newark is on pace to have the fewest murders since 1956 (though only have data through Oct this year) and San Francisco is on pace to have the fewest murders since 1942.
