Democrats can and must make it clear there will be trials and anyone even somewhat associated with ICE will face them. Maybe give a quit-your-job deadline on appeasement and give people 72 hours. I don't know. But currently the plan is to let them murder us in the street and get away with it.

According to every civilized written code of medical ethics, withholding treatments that have been proved to work is a big no-no. It provides no scientific benefit, and even if it did, the harm inflicted would far outweigh it

there is already more than enough evidence from multiple sources to demonstrate that medical transition benefits trans youth and the denial of that transition greatly harms them. there is no purpose for this study to be structured in this way other than to torture trans kids

You cannot overstate how startling it is to see a politician just say the thing with clarity and poise. No fearful hemming. No overwrought qualifying down til it’s meaningless. No lingering sense that there is a loyalty to a donor class or an ideology of stasis that they’d never admit to.

The hate groups provisions in the hate speech bill are deeply flawed. They still exclude advocating genocide from the definition of hate crimes, and they will be open to misuse to target peaceful activist groups because of political influence. They shouldn't be passed into law in their current form.

Being antivax is sensible enough if you live in a community where everyone's been vaccinated for the last few decades so no-one gets sick from the diseases that are vaccinated against and you're too selfish to see the connection
