This is starting to get like universal basic income where every single objective study shows the same result but the people who don't like that result go "uh, well there's just really no way to know"

How the fuck do you find out you're good at The Luge? How are people giving that a go? You and all your mates playing out late at night, doing the fucking luge, when you're ten? That's where your love for the luge began?

are we really doing crowdfunding discourse?

if crowdfunding bothers you just ignore it.

you don't have to boost or donate if you don't want to, but you'll make yourself into a horrible person if you fixate on policing who needs help and who's "just lazy" or whatever you're mad about.

I do love how there are two reading of king Canute forbidding the tides. One is "lol, he's mad with power". The other is that this was a subtle way to show the limitations of mortal power, and to refocus our efforts to what can actually be done within the scope of saecular institutions
