Pay more taxes, get fewer public services. Not satisfied? Then pay out of your own pocket.
That's the playbook, folks. You've been warned.

Even if humans cut emissions enough to reduce global temperatures, new research shows the Southern Ocean could kick warming back into gear.

😪 the coming demise of the ISS.
This sucks. Now space stations will be privatized and profit driven. What could go wrong?
Farewell to the International Space Station - NASA confirms that it will fall into the sea and that they still don't know who will be its replacement
It has been orbiting the Earth for three decades, but the International Space Station (ISS) is getting ready to say goodbye to outer space.

For too long, industry has been labelled a “hard-to-abate” sector. It’s time to rethink that.
With rapid advances in electrification and energy efficiency, much of industry is not hard to abate — it’s ready to innovate.

The chokehold that the right wing and "establishment" Dems have on the US media is frightening.
...and less than 24 hours later Condé Nast has fired Lex and the rest of the Teen Vogue political desk, even as stories like this were bringing huge numbers of readers to the site
dissatisfied by the New York Times coverage of Zohran Mamdani?
great news! I talked to the guy Thursday about his campaign’s success at bringing community together beyond this election, and contextualized how it’s potentially shifted youth engagement with politics by simply listening @teenvogue.com

😂 Funny, but more evidence: DO NOT TRUST AI summaries. Many of these things are *large language models*...they predict a reasonable combination of words. Reminder that they do not do logic, math, history, biology, engineering, or NEWS fact checks.

Hey, uh, Canada? Let's have a little chat about that media ownership stuff now and pandering interviews, shall we? Before it's too late... 😓🇨🇦
I see that CBS chose not to air this part. It probably explains much of what they did decide to air.

This is how our government has been corrupted:
1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians to office
2) Elected officials rewrite rules in the donors' favor
3) Donors make huge profit

We must get big money out of politics.
It is the root of our dysfunction.

The shingles vaccine availability should also be increased to anyone who wants it, regardless of age. I'm "too young", but have already had shingles as have many friends - and post-COVID there is a spike in cases due to immune suppression. Painful, sometimes disabling, and preventable!
