This thread gives a nice view of how destructive AI video tech is.

It destroys any trust in what is posted online. Is it AI? Is it real?

That bleeds over into reporting, and leads to a general alienation from facts.

The Stasi used it and called it Zersetzung.

Yes, I am explicitly calling anyone not using Alt Text on their images a lazy bastard.

Because you are.
I once again point out that adding Alt Text to your images is not only the right thing to do for all your readers, it's also very easy.

So, is he saying that "heritage Americans" are the experts at fleecing the government?

The GOP has really leaned in to singling out Somalis for very explicit racism. Ron Johnson and the rest of the party are just loathsome, un-American people.

This is why the field of AI ethics is a scam.

The thing about right-wing reactionaries that one must understand is they are not arguing from a place of moral reasoning. They have a picture of their ideal world in their head—a cultural aesthetic—and they want to impose that on us, without taking any responsibility for themselves. They're sick.

All should follow my snack based method of explaining stuff.
I once showed up at an interview where I needed to explain how a something works, and did so using a transparent box of Rochers.

I advise anyone who does explainers to do so using Rochers as a prop if you can, because interviewers will love you.
