🚨WHOA. The El Paso Medical Examiner says it will rule the death of a 55-year-old Cuban man at ICE's "Camp East Montana" tent camp as a homicide.
He was allegedly choked to death by a guard during a "struggle" after he refused to enter a housing unit without his medications.

On the ground here in Minnesota, it’s hard to reconcile the immense bonds of community that have been built in a week with the fact that we live in a country whose government appropriated billions of dollars to an unaccountable paramilitary force whose sole purpose is ethnic cleansing.

We're smarter than them. Their whole worldview makes them stupid and easy to predict. They will escalate from here-- but if they do, it might get enough Dems off their fence and enough people mad to shut down the government until they kneecap ICE (they won't abolish it yet, we need more power).

I was wrong about the culture war. It was always the real fight between pluralist humanism and dogmatic bigotry. They are ahead of us.
But good news. They are stupid and predictable. We must catch up fast, and we are.

Modern civil wars don't look like the American Civil War. They're more often like the Years of Lead or Argentina's Dirty War. With that in mind, I don't think it's much of an exaggeration to say Trump's regime is either trying to fight a one-sided civil war or, at a minimum, provoke one.

Today at 34 & Park in Minneapolis, a woman tried to drive down the street where a protest had broken out in front of a home ICE was raiding, saying she had a doctor apt to get to. ICE agents busted out her windows, cut off her seatbelt, and pulled her out before arresting her.

Like they did in Chicago, feds are abducting unhoused people in Minneapolis: in this instance, four members of the Oglala Sioux Tribe. Also as in Chicago, “homeless people… told the Minnesota Star Tribune that ICE apparently detained the four men without looking for credentials.”
The Oglala Sioux Tribe is still trying to locate four members kidnapped by ICE agents in Minneapolis last week, and many Native people in the Twin Cities have felt scared to leave the house to go to work or get groceries.

Guys I appreciate all the support but I want to be clear that there are thousands - maybe tens of thousands - of Minnesotans doing what I'm doing right now. Most are just everyday neighbors, nice old folks, college kids, baristas, who cannot abide what they're doing to OUR CITY and OUR NEIGHBORS.
