And Tiny Tim, who did NOT die, shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.
And Tiny Tim, who did NOT die, sat on the rocky outcrop, staring out into space. He spoke, to no-one; "I'm tired of this Earth, these people. I'm tired of being caught in the tangle of their lives."
And Tiny Tim, who did NOT die is...

STANDING RIGHT BEHIND YOU! AHHHHHH!

Blustery out on the bike loop this morning. Halfway through, I was all set for a cursed ride (headwinds from all directions), but on the Southward leg, I had the most excellent tailwind. It was like riding in a vacuum, 'cept, y'know... I could breathe. #bikesky

The more correctly and precisely this text is rendered in a modern language, the less likely it is to be understood by those it’s intended for.
This whole godforsaken patch of earth is a message, a screaming billboard stapled to the hide of time itself.

Palantir is in the news a lot lately. However, the public discourse about the company often misconstrues it as a data broker, a data miner, a single centralized database, etc. But what does Palantir actually do?

I wrote a piece to firmly & clearly answer that question:

What Does Palantir Actually Do?
Palantir is often called a data broker, a data miner, or a giant database of personal information. In reality, it’s none of these—but even former employees struggle to explain it.

I wonder if part of what keeps American men isolated is that the concepts of eros, philia, agape, etc have all been flattened into the multi-purpose word "love." If a man uses the word without context, he has to explain exactly what he meant by it.

You know. 'Cause of the homophobia.

#ADHD brane: [pokes the mental jukebox] Hey, remember this? We haven't heard this in forever!

me: Well, it *was* the 70s. And also, a couple months back, you wouldn't let me forget it for a week.

brane: Did I? I bet there was a good reason for that. Let's hear it again! And again!

This thread made me feel a bit better given… all this.
I know we don't feel like there's much to celebrate this July 4th. It's been a rough several years.

So I want to talk about how we're making history right now.

Among the reasons to hate being on call, I can't get too far away from home while on my long sunday ride. And I can only do so many laps before my #ADHD starts kicking the seatback, screaming "ARE WE THERE YET???"

If you burn down a forest, you don't miss out on lumber for just that season. You have to replant all the trees, nurture them, and wait for them to grow.

The science and research budget cuts happening now are wanton, senseless arson. Recovery, if it ever happens, will take generations.
