Hey all, I've started a substack and would love to hear thoughts on it.

I'm hoping to document the inner workings of my mind (!) as I curate an exhibition.

If you like it, and would recommend it, could you share? 🫶🏻

If you don't like it, what should I change?

The Power of the Original: Why Seeing Art in Person Changes Us
In the run-up to The Weight of Being, I’ve been reading new research about what happens to us physically when we stand in front of an original artwork.

I really love this Vincent Van Gogh quote:

"To do good work one must eat well, be well housed, have one's fling from time to time, smoke one's pipe, and drink one's coffee in peace."

No romanticizing the starving artist. Van Gogh said UBI all the way.

I'm only three-quarters of the way through this book, but my goodness!

A reminder of all the brilliant, mysterious, beautiful things about this country. Perfect antedote to the bad stuff ✨

If you vote Reform you will be voting against women’s equality, for more harassment in the workplace and beyond (as if there isn’t enough)

Starmer is not a vibes politician. Unlike Nigel Farage or Boris Johnson, he does not thrive on bombast, misdirection, or indeed, charisma. His political case rests on showing tangible improvements in people’s lives. So he needs to hurry up.

This is exactly the kind of despicable scaremongering that Aseem Malhotra has made his modus operandi. Insinuations, hearsay, anti-vaxx, non-evidence-based, lurid, self-enriching, anti-scientific claptrap. Of course Reform UK lapped it up. 1/4

Please disregard this man’s rubbish - he doesn’t work for the NHS & why the GMC hasn’t struck him off long ago baffles innumerable NHS doctors like me. 2/4

It seems that many people haven't realised the truth about Palestine Action.

And some seem happy to both mislead others to think it's all about some paint on a plane, while purposefully conflating the proscribing with a ban on legitimate protest about Gaza.

But that is not the truth...
