Does your child love singing? Do they sing in a choir? If so, we are holding a Pre-Audition Afternoon next Friday. This is a relaxed and informal way to find out more about our choir, our Cathedral, and what we do here. Open to all P4s.

Afternoon, #Glasgow

There’s an art installation called ‘Glimmers for a time like this’ and it’s in Partick Trinity Church and you should follow them on Instagram to find out when they have open days because it’s beautiful. I’ll be dragging Paul along next time it’s open.

Did you know that Warriston Cemetery once had its own chapel? Built in 1842-3 & demolished by 1930, all that remains are scant black & white photographs, Victorian engravings & the original Edinburgh Cemetery Company plans that are held within the Peddie archive, now part of HES. 1/

The centre section of the south gallery was reserved for the family and tenants of the Duke of Hamilton and is known as ‘The Duke’s Gallery’.

For #woodensday , this cheeky monkey smoking a pipe from the Glasgow University Chapel.

Much of the woodwork in the chapel was overseen by the renowned Scottish sculptor Archibald (Archie) Dawson. He was known for his mastery of character and often whimsical figures
