The government have decided to remark in Hansard that 10 million people in Britain use X as their primary news source. A statistic that cannot possibly be true. Probably needs a correction I think.
If there is an argument then this is the argument. But lol I can’t find where this obviously false stat is coming from. And if the government does believe more than half the families in the UK are using it as their primary news source then woah maybe time to up the scrutiny of it!

Whenever you hear the host of Question Time say they’re reflecting the electorate, don’t ever forget how the ‘didn’t vote’ or ‘won’t vote’ or ballot spoiling crowd are never reflected, yet they represent a huge bloc of the electorate
Here's a thing I did for the Observer yesterday looking at non-voters - the 'dark matter' of electoral politics- hard to observe, seldom discussed, yet potentially very influential

It’s a shame the PM isn’t a leading human rights lawyer to advise on this

And perhaps the govt don’t have the ability to bring in experts to consult or don’t have access to Google

They do govern like they’re still in the 20th century tbf
Darren Jones truly woeful on Times Radio right now. Managing to sound both condescending and craven.

Answering “I’m not a commentator” when asked to comment on the legality of the USA’s actions in Venezuela just comes across terribly. The government would’ve been better just putting no one up.

Even if Farage was our PM, I wouldn’t support a foreign regime swooping in and kidnapping him

I guess that’s the difference between people who care about human rights and international laws, and people drunk on ideology with no moral compass

The US attack on Venezuela is an illegal act of aggression against a sovereign country (with lots of oil). Venezuela has become a more deeply repressive dictatorship & urgently needs democratic solution but this is unjustified & unjustifiable. Look forward to seeing swift UK Government condemnation.

The PM and Foreign Secretary should be condemning this illegal strike and breach of international human rights law.

After years of arming a genocide and worshipping the “special relationship”, Trump now believes he can act with impunity.

will also add - yes, this is my personal crusade - that turning podcasts into videos implicitly asks women to once again make more effort than men, as the bar for "camera-ready" for one gender is obviously higher than for the other
