My university has an online tool to let you build schedules for the next semester, so you're prepared for registration. So, it's a week into classes for fall and I have spring semester planned out. I'm taking Beginning Japanese/Finnish II, intro to poetry, and intro to drawing. So excited!!!

I'm glad I dropped my other course. I had ample time to study for both Japanese and Finnish. I'm pretty sure I got a 100 on my vocabulary quiz. And I felt SUPER prepared for Finnish. I already have this weekend's homework done for that!

The clerk who’d first asked Hazel to wait pulled the door closed behind him, as quiet as a mouse sneaking a bit of cheese. When he spotted her still sitting on the bench he froze, eyes wide. “Mistress Goodwyn,” The clerk squeaked, his adam’s apple bobbing as he swallowed nervously. “You’re still here?” “I am.” Hazel stood and brushed her hands over her skirt, smoothing out the wrinkles. “Seeing as how I can’t practice my craft until the guild accepts my application, I’ve got nowhere else to be.” “As I already explained, the guildmaster is a very busy woman.” The clerk took a step back as Hazel moved forward, partners in an awkward dance. “It would be much easier if you just made an appointment. Maybe in a few weeks–” “That’s not going to work for me, Master Dawson.” Hazel folded her arms over her chest and glared down her nose at the clerk. He was only a few inches taller than her and thin as a reed whipping in the wind. “I’ve got twenty gold cauldrons burning a hole in my pocket and a list of chores longer than my arm. I need this done today so I can get on with business.” “And if wishes were fishes, cats would feast every night,” the clerk huffed, finding his spine.

I'm Ash! I'm working on 2.5 serials. The 1.5 is Hexmark's Fate with @thetomatowriter.bsky.social based on our Kids on Brooms game and bonus chapters through a very important side character POV. The other serial is a "sitcom" episodic on about 6 friends and all their messiness. #WeeknightWriters

I empathize with feeling bad at art. I'm a writer and I feel so insecure sometimes. But I don't empathize with using AI built on stolen work because you feel insecure. I want to make comics and I'm learning to draw. I'm AWFUL. Because I'm LEARNING. You're robbing yourself of growth by using AI.
