Min-ji is looking for love and encouragement in all the wrong places. She's a successful artist and loves what she does. She just wants someone to tell her, "I'm proud of you." She skateboards and, with Daniel, goes camping. She's in love with someone but can't act on it, given he's married.

Kyle wasn't part of the friend group during college and has come to join it in the last 4 years. He loves everyone. He believes everything happens for a reason, and the reason is usually sappy and sentimental. He falls at first sight, and It starts the chaos over the story.

Amy doesn't let any relationship define her. She's lived abroad for the last 12 years and coming back to the States to plan her next move and spend time with her friends. She's a writer and a translator, workaholic, and perfectionist. She's moved on from college, or has she?

Shane is a deadpan kind of guy. He doesn't commit and fills his life with adventures alone and with his friends. In the group chat, Daniel is acutely aware Shane doesn't seem to talk much to Amy. He lost the love of his life early because of his fear and he's never forgiven himself.

Summer is a once jazz musician who works as an event planner. She desperately wants a baby and feels behind the curve at 31 having no children and few of the experiences she dreamt of in college. She's the glue of the group: the baby yet also the mom. And maybe a little too attached to her phone?

Daniel is married to Summer and convinced he has it made. But does he? Spoiler: no. He's the oldest of the group, a mountain biker, an excellent home chef, and definitely emotionally neglectful.

Of course, taking Japanese/Finnish II presupposes I do well enough in the fall to continue on. Which is all the more reason to not procrastinate. I have my first quiz in Finnish this week and they're closed book/note. I need to ask if they're mult choice or fill in the blank...*study instensifies.*

Next semester is going to be a lot of consistent, intensive output. Because you can't really cram any of those subjects. Not with any hope of success. I tend to be a procrastinator, so I'm glad I have this semester of 2 language courses to get accustomed to NOT doing that. It feels weird.

I agree it's annoying to have a double standard in allowable sexual experiences, but also, I don't think we should conflate having several partners with being a "walking STD" because that's purity culture nonsense. As long as you're safe, who cares how much sex someone's had.

I sat down to write yesterday, but was so "I need to do x, y, and z other things" that my audhd brain couldn't focus on ANYTHING. But, eh, that's okay. I've only had a week of classes, it's understandable I'd still be figuring out time management for mult priorities. How's your Sep writing going?
