e-bikes are no kidding good for national security bsky.app/profile/cost...
Very sincerely, every bit of travel we do in an EV, on a train, on a bus, on a bike/e-bike, by walking or rolling, or by other active transport, helps the climate, helps air quality, and helps national & economic security. We should fund these as national security infrastructure.

I doubt for any second that oil companies are going to spend their own money when Brent Crude and others are at 5 year lows, guess this is where the tariff money will go to (nah it already got spent)
Trump: "We're going to have our very large United States oil companies go in, spend billions of dollars, fix the badly broken infrastructure and start making money for the country. And we are ready to stage a second and much larger attack if we need to do so."

America Last! Billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars to rebuild another country!
Q: You said the US is going to run Venezuela. So who's in power right now?

TRUMP: Well, we're gonna be running it with a group. We're gonna make sure it's run properly. We're gonna rebuild the oil infrastructure which will cost billions of dollars.

The whole "Grok admits" "Grok apologizes" thing reminds me of the famous IBM presentation quote that evidently everyone has forgotten. And I do think representing your brand on social media counts as a "management decision".

When I tell people who are somewhat new to Brooklyn that Prospect Park used to have cars coursing through it at rush hours they look at me like I have two heads. There's a lesson there about change, getting things done, and sticking with them.
Today, Prospect Park has been car-free for eight years! A fitting location for this afternoon’s mayoral press conference.

Giving the park entirely to people was one of the longest campaigns TA has fought, and one of our biggest wins.

🔋The Intercalation team on Substack reports that battery prices have increased slightly in 2025.

LFP increased by 2 $/kWh, while NMC rose by about 7 $/kWh.

Even so, pricing remains broadly consistent with BloombergNEF’s findings.

One funny thing Elon Musk figured out about the media is if, instead of providing comment to reporters, you email back an automated reply saying "go fuck yourself," the reporters will just invent their own plausible-sounding defense of your conduct to balance their stories instead of punishing you

It's 2026.

Things many American school kids probably don't know how to do:

* Dial a rotary telephone

* Tell time from an analog clock

* Read or write cursive

* Decipher Roman numerals

* Navigate with a paper map or use a compass

* Balance a checkbook

(Please add more below)

One thing I wrote about here is how technology has made buses *way* more convenient while techno-futurists were obsessed with flying taxis and self-driving cars.

If you don't try to draw a map of a bus network, decision-makers will never see how complicated it is.

Our firm often draws an agency's first clear map. Its effect is sometimes to show that the service doesn't make sense, which starts the process of improving it.

Apps are helpful but maps matter.
The NJ Transit bus route network is incredibly complicated, and some routes only run at certain times of day or certain times of the week. You could make a case (I might not agree with it) that it is actually impossible to make a useful NJ Transit bus route map.
