My birthstone is that rock in your shoe that makes you bend over and untie your whole sneaker and shake it out and nothing falls out and you shrug and put your shoe back on and retie it but the bow isn’t as good so you have to keep tying your sneakers again all day.

I am annoyed that the first time I looked into Mary Tynan, I mistook her for another Mary; I got only half the story.

Sometime in the 1990s or so, Democrats saw how Republicans juiced turnout by appealing to their base and went, “Wow, we should do that, too! We should appeal to the Republican base!”
What got us Trump was the GOP being a malevolent force for evil and the Democrats at every turn refusing to fire full blast at the right (including before Trump). It’s obviously not all on Harris but a cycle with Democrats assuming the left would just show up without any motivation is a big reason.
They have a point. “She didn’t earn my vote” got us Trump. Like I think it’s good to push against the party for better policy but when the alternative is Trump, it’s too much.
