My Uncle Jerry (my dad’s best friend) used to tell me the folded potato chips in the Cape Cod chip bag were poisonous, but he had built up immunity to them so he’d eat them all to save me. To this day I am skeptical of his motivations.
Uncles are always getting roasted on here and I'm tired of it. The only misinformation I tell my nephew is that he's good at drumming and his mother loves snakes.

It's not complicated! Describing a cousin as "actually she's my second cousin, once removed" or "actually he's my stepmom's ex-husband's sister's kid", or describing an aunt as "actually she's my uncle by marriage's brother's wife" is very complicated.
A cousin is anyone near your age in your family or some kid who is around a lot and an aunt is an older lady who gives a shit about you.
