You have to be a real sick fuck to be proud to be an American these days but…while I’m watching the new Ken Burns documentary, I have to keep in mind that this is what I come from. For better and worse. With the exception of The Italians, my ancestors landed here 250 years ago or more.

A couple months ago I was visiting my dad and stepmom and my stepmom enthusiastically suggested I should give my cat to my mom as a gift because she likes him so much. She said it like it was a brilliant idea. I’m still completely baffled.

My Uncle Jerry (my dad’s best friend) used to tell me the folded potato chips in the Cape Cod chip bag were poisonous, but he had built up immunity to them so he’d eat them all to save me. To this day I am skeptical of his motivations.
Uncles are always getting roasted on here and I'm tired of it. The only misinformation I tell my nephew is that he's good at drumming and his mother loves snakes.
