Seen some folks asking about lawyers who help federal employees so:

1. obviously, you can call us. we'll try to fit you in considering ~everything~

2. go to MWELA.org. that's the plaintiff's employment bar association in the DMV. go to NELA.org nationally. search for lawyers who do federal work.

it's genuinely fascinating to me that "you cannot facilitate a genocide against a people and still expect their vote" is too advanced for some analysts to understand.

I ran into Ted Nugent at a Bronco Graveyard in Michigan when I was a teenager.

He was giving signed bumper stickers to the folks who worked there.

He offered one to me, but I didn't take it because I didn't realize he was Ted Nugent and I didn't like the bumper sticker.
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

In America, where irony is dead, a hotel chain uses a policy denying shelter to local people, for fear of accidentally housing homeless persons…

To deny a reservation to the author of a much-lauded book on how American economic unfairness forces working people into homelessness.
A Hampton Inn in Asheville just canceled my family's reservation because our address (incorrectly) showed Asheville—and the hotel bars locals within 50 miles.

When I asked why, they said, "because of our homeless population," adding that most hotels here have similar policies.

This is outrageous.

I sat down at a table in a casino and played a game with real cards like some kind of movie star (my only prior reference for gambling).

Chips and everything. Those are a real thing.

I see no reason why you shouldn't take your 70-year-old mother to a casino in Detroit on xmas eve.

"I wasn't expecting everything to be AI."

She thinks everything electronic is AI now.

This year, man.

I lost a family member and had the worst depressive episode of my life.

The simple things have been so hard, but so meaningful.

Getting the xmas tree up was a battle. But I did it.

I thought I'd never write again. I'm back at it.

Grateful to the point of tears for all of it.

I've taken many calls from white males who believe they've been discriminated against at work for their race/sex.

The number of these calls that are so fucking stupid easily rounds up to "all of them."

Our dog is wearing a plaid hoodie that is a size too small, so a tuft of chest fur pops out over the zipper.

She looks like a little Burt Reynolds or Tom Selleck strolling around here.

Not on X because the law school I attended was a right-run platform and . . . I'm good.

Should I find a need, there's no shortage of chuckle-headed fucks out there to tell me what to do with my body or insist I'm too nice/sweet/pretty to be an attorney (and would do better in a supporting role).

the unstated assumption of Yglesias saying that we need to be with the Nazis for Discourse Reasons is a presumed interest in finding common ground with or convincing Nazis to stop being Nazis.

i'll just say that is not how i, personally, am interested in solving the Nazi problem.

11 people in Australia were killed today by gunmen while they celebrated the first night of Chanukah at Sydney’s Bondi Beach. Targeted because they were Jews.

As Jewish families around the world, we place our menorahs in our windows. Our message to the world: Light will outlive the darkness.

Heartbreaking and horrifying to go to bed reading about the mass shooting at Brown University and wake up to read about the mass shooting at a Hanukkah celebration at Bondi Beach. Thinking of the victims, their loved ones, and those affected by the hate that drove these attacks.

I saw it out of the corner of my eye, then straight-on, and there was no turning back. Laughed like a maniac.

Not exactly a Christmas song, but no winter trip home is complete without dusting off T-Baby's "It's So Cold in the D."

It will be stuck in my head until it's warm out again.
