Just found out a friend of mine, an Iranian adoptee, has been given notice by DHS to report to court to justify her stay in the states.
She's lived here all her life, but her parents never finalized her citizenship, so she's targeted.
I hate this country.

People do not know what facts are clinically or legally relevant. It is the job of the practitioner to ask them, and knowing what to ask requires you to understand what emergency conditions you need to rule out.

I think I said this a while ago while arguing with people who said that bots can do law / medicine.
The difficulty in practice is not simply knowing the symptoms of a clinical presentation. It is understanding that you have to ask people questions to make sure you understand what is happening.

What’s funny (derogatory) to me is that part of what makes a good intake exam are the f/u Q’s asked of patients who don’t know what’s wrong with them.
I’ve seen so many people criticize chatbot results based on “bad prompts” by the user, so I really wonder how they think this is going to work.

One thing about the below—the GOP's plummeting ability to compete in free and fair elections is going to *absolutely* make autocracy more appealing to the party's base and leadership. Emerging Democratic advantages in traditional politics render our current situation more fraught, not less.
And yes, you can argue that the GOP never plans to run another traditional presidential campaign, or that it never intends to enact policy on a federal level again.
But not intending to and not being able to are two very different things.
