NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

Tax the rich. Greg Ryan in @bloomberg.com:

And I don’t mean to impose an emotional embargo. I just wish people would parse out what’s driving their reactions and whether their feelings need to become an issue for someone else, or if they need to work on it internally.

ALL of my Midwife Sibs been through the wringer but Susannah has had that plus tax and she's kept going. Being single in this process with no partner to help economically makes it so much harder.

She created a fundraiser in July to assist her through the process, can you be her first supporter?

I hope the inappropriately older dude I dated when I was 21 has grown enough by now not to proudly tell people about it.

There should be a setting on your cellphone that lets you hang up on someone and it makes the old slam-the-receiver-down-in-the-cradle noise for the person on the other end.

Martin's first memo as DNC chair was titled "Democrats Will Fight Against Trump's War on Working People" by the way. Which working people, Ken? People with families who need some flexibility in scheduling? People with disabilities? The women who pick up the slack because child care is expensive?

Can't find anything on the 2025 Sexiest Collard Farmer contest. 🤔

I hope last year's winner, Mr. Patrick Brown, and his family are thriving. 🥬 🙌🏾👑
Everyone knows about North Carolina's annual Sexiest Collard Farmer Contest?

The 2024 winner is Patrick Brown of Brown Family Farms.

There's a calendar too, apparently. www.collardsonly.com

Nope. People have been in the tank for him for 10 years. Sunk costs won't let them admit who they've tied themselves to.
I haven’t kept up with the latest news with Big Ugly and Epstein bc it was already established in my brain that they were working together.

So I ask, will this email release move the needle?

Looks like there was a post that got the !takedown label on Sarah Kendzior’s account at 1am utc on 11/11. So like 8pm eastern time in the US. That’s what got her suspended.

It wasn’t archived on her site and I don’t know how to view it since it was taken down

I will never stop asking:

At WHAT point does autonomy/consideration shift from birth parents to adoptees??

We are full blown adults and are still considered the children. If I wanna know who my ppl are, I should be able to.
I will say that I hate that adopted people constantly have to address this question when trying to access their records or other information about *themselves* and their family of origin.

It’s a foundation of their identity. It belongs to them and they’re entitled to have it for that reason alone.
Can anyone point me to a study or other data showing that the majority of relinquishing parents *don’t* want to be anonymous? It’s needed for lobbying.

I can look through the citations in Relinquished by @gretchensisson.bsky.social but I’m hoping someone has quicker access to the info.
