Working hypotheses: Orban, Fico, Le Pen, Wagenknect, Yanukovitch, Trump, etc, are Russian saboteurs, not just spies. Putin can only win his global war against democracy in the capitols of free societies. Political proxies are his main weapons. #NAFO

Yes, but more specifically: It's sabotage.

When you think of Trump as a Russian weapon being used to do maximum long-term damage to the US, everything he does makes sense.
The Trump National Security Strategy is an act of vandalism against the things that actually make our country strong, safe, and prosperous.

The number 80 is floating around, but the only place I can find it is “The Middle East Eye”, The Young Turks and Bluesky.

The official death toll is 56-60
24 security officers
32 Cuban military
And I noted one article about an 80-y/o woman who was killed by a rocket in a munition cook off.
Live updates: At least 24 Venezuelan security officers killed in Maduro capture, its military says

Reminder:

More than 60% of energy generated by fossil fuels is lost as waste heat and can’t be USED.

Energy losses from solar or wind are far less at 10% to 20%

If you actually want to know more and care more about Greenlandic Inuk, you need to understand that this isn't "taking a territory away from Denmark".

Greenlandic Inuit people have been self-governing since 1979 and have been gaining greater independence over time.

We live in an age where the Internet and LLMs are encouraging ever more people to reject reality entirely.

Here's my thoughts on why this is happening, and why the Terminally Online turn amongst the powerful is so dangerous.
Rejecting Reality in the Age of AI
The Internet and AI are encouraging more and more people to deny reality itself. Here's why that's bad.

I don't reckon this is the flex he thinks it is.

America needs a third reconstruction, but that's going to require structural reforms that are right now far out of sight. What we do have a corrupt system with which we could, at least in theory, bring power against power, and force the Republican Party to accept detente, as it were.

The model here is gerrymandering. Blue states have decided that cheating must be met with cheating in order to force the Republicans to stand down (that's the hope anyway). Same things with federal funding ...

Unpopular opinion: The next Dem president ought to follow in Trump's lead and (illegally) withhold funding to red states that suppress the rights of their residents. There must be an equal and opposite reaction to Trump's crimes, even if that reaction is itself criminal. Like I said, unpopular.

Why did this change?

1. Relentless propaganda by rightwing media complex, including Russia.
2. Corrupt elites, including news media.
3. Radical centrists who believed "woke" are more dangerous.
4. Biden/Garland misjudged the evil, had too much faith in exceptionalism.
5. American goldfish memory.
I know this feels impossible now, but I swear, on January 6 itself, there was a pretty broad bipartisan consensus that storming the Capitol to find and kill lawmakers was bad, and that Trump was responsible for inciting his followers to try it

Mitch McConnell will forever be responsible for not creating a clean break with Trump. By delaying the impeachment hearings until after Biden was inaugurated, it allowed Republicans to wave away impeachment as something unnecessary and for Trump 2 to happen

more of this is needed. I assume the global leaders' statements in support of Greenland are finally getting to the GOP

Imagine looking at the period after WWII and especially after the Cold War as an era of American weakness.

Unless, I suppose, if becoming the strongest, wealthiest country in history sounds bad to you because some brown people were a part oft, and you'd rather be weaker if it means being whiter.
