Working hypotheses: Orban, Fico, Le Pen, Wagenknect, Yanukovitch, Trump, etc, are Russian saboteurs, not just spies. Putin can only win his global war against democracy in the capitols of free societies. Political proxies are his main weapons. #NAFO

Yes, but more specifically: It's sabotage.

When you think of Trump as a Russian weapon being used to do maximum long-term damage to the US, everything he does makes sense.
The Trump National Security Strategy is an act of vandalism against the things that actually make our country strong, safe, and prosperous.

The Trump administration is deploying white nationalist and neo-Nazi language across DHS, ICE, and the State Department. A CNN analysis, informed by GPAHE research, shows how terms like “remigration” echo extremist ideology—and dangerously normalize it inside federal institutions.

Important work here from the NYT. Ross wasn’t run over. He dropped his cell phone, which he had shifted to his left hand to draw his weapon. And then he shot and killed a person with the gun in his right hand.

Simple thing: the states are subordinate but separate sovereign powers in the US constitutional system. They have robust powers to self-govern and resist criminal and unconstitutional infringement from a corrupt, renegade federal executive. Tell the Feds to bring it.

This interview with an American doctor about his recent visit to Iran is quite good on its own, but it is important for the USA due to the rational, coherent argument the doctor makes for keeping protests peaceful, even in the face of violent repression.

Trump wants violence. Don't give it to him.

Pollster: 58% of Americans say Trump's second term has been a failure. A year into term number two, Trump's numbers look worse than any other president. Trump is even worse than George W. Bush after Katrina and a long period in the Iraq War. This is really, really bad.
