This is the trophy I won back in 2020 at the Eurovision fan club convention’s annual Eurovision covers competition.

I had come to realise that I didn’t deserve this award and I have therefore presented it to the rightful winner, Donald J Trump.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

If #KarlToldYouSo to #HandsOffGreenland, #Trumpmuskovia ns, that not only means Shots are fired!
It means also, the #US Economy will be torn to shreds!
And if forced to, there will be a Guarantee for that.
Nobody's doing Economic Warfare like the #EU!

Finding the reactions to this bleakly funny. Lads, the point isn’t that you are sending enough people to “win”, because we in fact, can’t win. It is just to have a tripwire! If you are going “why not 13, like Germany?” you have not understood how bad things are.

I think certainly the opposite is true. Without it, they are lost.
I wonder if one of the reasons why right-wing politicians are defending X is because they now believe it is the instrument that will help them regain power. Not simply a way they consume media.

A senior Tory MP once told me the ‘worst’ conservatives gathered around Boris Johnson.

When it comes to Tories defecting to Farage and Reform, we can be sure they are the worst of the worst - la crème de la crème ou la merde de la merde

Sadly it is official, my current employment contract finishes at the end of March. It has been a fantastic three years at Migrant Voice. If you, or someone you know, knows of job opportunities for an experienced policy, advocacy and comms person, across multiple sectors, please do let me know.

Jonathan Woss must be wishing he had a different name at the moment

(British tv in-joke, not worth worrying about if you don’t know who he is).

This little pup has just turned 13. This is Chico on Westport Beach, at the end of the Long and Winding Road in Campbeltown (Scotland) of which Paul McCartney sang. Chico is also a hospice volunteer so I am expecting him to receive an MBE from Charles any day now.

There are far too many gullible people in the UK.
Strange isn't it... the people who actually live in London overwhelmingly think it's safe.... almost like everyone else is falling for a lie
I wonder what Londoners know that the rest of the country don’t?

The reactionary centrist logic is simple: if the left does something bad it’s the left’s fault, and if the right does something bad, it’s also the left’s fault for making them do it. It’s a simple formula and once you see it every one of their arguments is the same

You'd feel better for a second after his condemning.

I have absolutely no interest in football but I think this is a lovely thing. The absolute delight that Macclesfield fans and residents must be feeling right now!
Macclesfield Town (National League North) beat FA Cup holders Crystal Palace.

First non-league team to beat FA Cup holders in the century since third division added to Football League (1920)

Crystal Palace (Southern League) last did so in 1909 v Wolves

X/Twitter widely reported as having limited Grok image manipulation to subscribers only... except it isn't actually true. [Not that it makes everything better even if it were true.]

Amazing gaslighting, Elon and team. It isn't even true that Twitter/X has put Grok AI's image manipulation tool behind a paywall. It seems users can still create sexualised images, regardless of their user status.

I think it is as absurd that Polanski is lumping Starmer together with Farage as it is that Starmer is lumping Polanski together with Farage. I also think it is probably doing neither of them any good.

This call for a quick, knee jerk response to Trump goes against my personal views. This shouldn’t be controversial

Foreign policy isn’t a pissing contest. Statements are calibrated to protect Ukraine, keep allies aligned and preserve leverage. Loud words are easy. Responsible outcomes are harder.

This is quite an important point; if you are a UK citizen with Twitter on your phone, opening it up is like playing Russian roulette that the algorithm might commit a strict liability offence on your behalf.
Has everyone whose scroll the illegal image appeared on also committed an offence by downloading it? This is one of those AI worst case scenarios that ought to make everyone aware of the current direction of travel.

I’m only a small account and hardly anyone will read this, but please don’t share screenshots of the vile stuff being thrown up by Grok on X. You don’t want it on your phone or computer and I certainly don’t want it on mine.
