I have been actively involved in protest movements for 24 years. I have never seen anything approaching this scale. Minneapolis is not accepting what's happening here. ICE fucking murdered a woman for participating in this, and all that did is bring out more people, from more walks of life.

Photo by Pierre Lavie. Yes this is me. And I threw my Leica. It landed on the bass plate with hardly a scratch. Another Photographer grabbed it along with my phone and I was able to track him later. I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.

the question of what to do with a violent organized group after you’ve decommissioned them is a serious one that a lot of policy and scholarly work explores, and we can’t treat the question as illegitimate. If your call to dismantle ICE is serious then it also implies that plan made seriously.
We’re going to need DDR and a future government that knows it will need expert help from transitional justice specialists

Why is it so hard to find info about the HUNDREDS of election observers who were there? 99% of articles only cite the opposition party and Carter Centre.
